How the electrostatic sprayer works

Electrostatic fogging disinfectant treatment of COVID-19 ensures all sides of a surface are disinfected. Not just the side the technician sprays from. Not only does the spray reach the main surface but this technique can disinfect those hard-to-reach crevices and cracks near impossible to disinfect with other methods. The electrostatic sprayer achieves this by charging the particles with a negative charge. They will attract to all areas of the positive surface.

Within the sprayer, the disinfectant and water combine before being mixed with high-pressure air, splitting the liquid into a mist of micron-sized droplets. Then, before leaving the tip of the sprayer, an electrode gives all the tiny droplets a negative charge further separating them one from another.

This negative charge is the key to covering all sides of a surface such as a knob, chair, or examination table. Instead of simply falling on a surface using the force of gravity, thus leaving entire areas untouched, the negative charge makes the droplet seek a positive surface with a force 75 times stronger than gravity whether that is on the backside or underside of a drawer pull or under a table. With such a high charge, the micron droplets can even move against the force of gravity or change directions. With this even coating all over any surface and in the tiniest cracks, you’ll have peace of mind every possible infected area has been reached.
